Tai Chi Chuan is an internal martial art used by the Chinese for thousands of years as a vehicle for self-cultivation and self defense. An exercise of the body, mind and spirit. Tai Chi Chuan consists of slow and even movements relaxing the body and the mind, promoting the flow of vital energy and replacing stiffness with flexibility and good body co-ordination.

Tai Chi Chuan is an exercise that may be practiced by anyone. It is non-strenuous, relaxing and graceful. Tai Chi Chuan benefits the student by promoting better metabolism. Soothing the central nervous system promoting relaxation; improving blood circulation, increasing the  flow of oxygen through slow, deep and coordinated breathing; messaging the internal organs; promoting digestion and elimination through relaxation.

It is believed that one of Tai Chi’s greatest attributes is that it channels the flow of Chi (energy) through the body. The Chinese believe as long as the flow of Chi is uninhibited you will remain healthy.
