Our Mission at American Karate Studios is to provide a safe space for encouraging healthy attitudes toward fitness and nutrition. Our Martial Arts program was created to build a dynamic and supportive atmosphere for developing physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual strength. In addition our Martial Arts being fun, our classes provide a platform for helping our students young and old, cultivate confidence, self-control, courtesy, and resiliency in a positive learning environment.
In 1978 I began my Martial Arts training at American Karate Studios, at the age of 7. I was required to study four different styles of Martial Arts: Kenpo Karate, Shotokan, Qigong and Tai Chi Chung-Yang Style. I trained under the head instructors, Charles Francis Farrell and Alan Shen Cheung, at American Karate Studios working my way up to becoming an instructor. In 1990, my mother and I acquired the school from our instructor, with only 26 students and a dream. With this dream in mind, we established American Karate Studios. I now have over 150 students, and offer a variety of Martial Arts classes; adding Tuide and Kenjutsu to enhance an already successful program.
